Cross Country
by Josh Norlander, Liam Seagle, and Joe Barber
This season the Hamilton cross country team did very well. We have won every meet for both boys and girls. There were no cuts this year so our home team is extremely strong.  Justin Culman set the school record with a blistering time of 9:59 for a two mile run.  On Tuesday the 7th of October, Hamilton brought home the East Division Championship trophy! This is the ninth year that  the Huskies have earned this honor.

The undefeated Huskies, led by coaches Tara Schneider and Tracy Zimmerman, were virtually unstoppable this season while completing their undefeated season. In route to the championship the Huskies defeated Rishel 9-0 and cross town powerhouse Morey 3-0. http://athletics.dpsk12.org/MS/GSOCplayoff.html

BOYS BASEBALL
The boys’ baseball team showed great resolve in completing one of the most difficult feats to accomplish in sports….A THREE PEAT. The Huskies, led by coach Lee Lampert, displayed tremendous hitting power against the Centennial Prospectors on their way to the 2008 championship. Pitcher Tony Yacovetta showed tremendous poise in keeping the bats cold for the Prospectors.  Hamilton won the game 7-1.
