No Electricity for Max
By D.H.
It was Monday, the first day of summer. When it was 7:00 A.M. Max woke up from bed. When he turned on his TV, it didn’t work at all. He said to himself, “Maybe Mom unplugged the wire.” So Max looked behind the TV. It wasn’t unplugged at all.
Max went downstairs. He said, “Mom, my TV doesn’t work.”
Mom said, “The electricity must be out.” Max was very shocked that there was no electricity. Max thought what he should do now.
Soon he got very bored. He asked, “Mom! What should I do?”
Mom said, “Let’s play a game of Scrabble.”
Max said, “OK.” So Mom put Scrabble on the game table. When the game Scrabble was done. Max said, “Let’s play more games because that was fun!”
Mom said, “That is a good idea.” So they did play more.
At 12:00 am the power went back on. But they still played board games for the rest of the time.
