Memoir
by Allie C.
Going to Atlanta, Georgia always make me feel enthusiastic and very happy. That is a good feeling for me because I hardly ever get to go on plane rides. Last summer I went to Atlanta, Georgia to see my cousin get VALEDICTORIAN.
Valedictorian is a special award somebody gets when they have the highest grade point average in school. In this case it was Erin.
When the plane got to Georgia there was my cousin Leah and my Grandma Mary waiting for us. When we got there it was time for bed. The next day was time for Erin's celebration party. At the party I got to meet Erin's boyfriend and the Salutatorian.
After the party my grandma took us all swimming, even my obnoxious thirteen-year-old cousin Ben. Leah calmly got into the water while Ben cannonballed in. It was fun while it lasted, but soon it was time to leave and shower. So we went home, ate dinner and went to sleep.
Then it was the big day! We watched all the people that were graduating come down the aisle. Erin said her speech and Uncle Scott and Aunt Lin started to cry. It was beautiful.
Now we are back in Denver, Colorado. We are so happy to be home.
