V is for Volleyball

V is for volleyball, which is an American sport. I play it and I love it. I have only played for one year but I loved it, so I'm playing again.

Here is how you play: there are two teams who hit a large, light, inflated ball back and forth over a high net with their hands. You get a point by hitting the ball over the large net and trying to get it on the ground. You can never let the ball touch the ground on your side of the net, or else the other team gets a point. You can never hold the ball in your hands unless you are serving the ball. A team can only touch the ball three times in a row. a person can only touch the ball once, then you have to let a teammate touch the ball after you touch the ball once, then you can bump the ball again. Each time you hit the ball over the net you need to be ready because the ball might be coming right back to you. Each quarter you get ten minutes to get as many points as you can. The object of the game is to have fun.

The season usually lasts about one month. I play in the fall and spring.I think anyone could play. The games are the best part of the season. The practices are fun also. The practices are fun because you get to play games and you also get to scrimmage with other teams. VOLLEYBALL IS SO MUCH FUN!
